As an Assistant Professor of Political Theory at Radboud University, my work centers around the question:

How can we reimagine democracy in our workplaces and societies?

I investigate the history and future of radical democracy and social movements. From the Paris Commune of 1871, via the German Revolution of 1918-1919 to the current climate crisis, my work examines how communalist and epistemic democracy can offer new paths toward political empowerment.
